Oxygen is divided into industrial oxygen and medical oxygen. Industrial oxygen is mainly used for metal cutting, and medical oxygen is mainly used for auxiliary treatment. So what are the specifications of commonly used oxygen cylinders? Come and find out with me.

Oxygen cylinders are used for the adjuvant treatment of respiratory diseases (such as asthma, bronchitis, pulmonary heart disease, etc.), heart and cerebrovascular diseases (such as coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, and cerebral infarction) caused by hypoxia. Relieve the symptoms of hypoxia.

It can also be used to quickly relieve fatigue after health care, oxygen inhalation or intense mental work and physical work.

How to use a portable oxygen cylinder? When the oxygen cylinder is in use, turn the handwheel counterclockwise to open the oxygen valve, and turn it clockwise to close the valve. To open the valve, the operator should stand behind the valve and act gently. After the valve is opened, observe the pressure gauge to see the pressure in the bottle. Whether it can be used or not, the wearer wears a face mask. The exhaled air from the lungs enters the cleaning tank through the mask, tee, exhalation hose and exhalation valve, and is absorbed into the exhaled air by the absorbent in the cleaning tank. The rest of the gas enters the airbag after the carbon dioxide component is reduced; in addition, the oxygen stored in the oxygen cylinder enters the airbag through the high-pressure tube and the pressure reducer. The gas converges to form an oxygen-containing gas. When the wearer inhales, the oxygen-containing gas is inhaled from the airbag. Valves, inhalation hoses, and masks enter the human lungs to complete a breathing cycle. Let’s take a look at the specifications of commonly used oxygen cylinders.

The unit of measurement for the size of medical oxygen cylinders is the volume unit: liters. The size of medical oxygen cylinders is calculated in liters. A 10-liter cylinder means that it can hold approximately 10 liters of water, while a 40-liter cylinder can hold 40 liters of water. A steel cylinder that can hold as many liters of water is called an oxygen cylinder.

The oxygen in the cylinder is in a compressed state, and there is approximately 135 to 150 atmospheres in the full cylinder. The larger the volume, the more oxygen it can hold.

The pressure in a full cylinder is the same, regardless of the volume of the cylinder. That is to say, whether in a 4 liter, 10 liter or 40 liter bottle, the pressure is the same when the bottle is full. If the pressure is the same, the volume determines how much oxygen the bottle can hold.

The pressure gauge is an instrument that shows us how much pressure there is in the cylinder. It is a part of the medical oxygen inhaler. Through the pressure gauge, we can know the oxygen remaining in the oxygen cylinder.

Medical oxygen cylinders currently on the market mainly have 4L, 10L, 15L, 40L and 50L specifications. No matter which one is purchased, the first thing to consider is whether there is a stable source of medical oxygen. Because the medical oxygen cylinder is just a container, we bought it to use medical oxygen.
