ExxonMobil, Imperial axe WCC LNG project. ExxonMobil Canada Ltd. and Imperial Oil Ltd. have withdrawn their proposal for the WCC LNG project in British Columbia.
 

Kosmos Energy to Relocate to Delaware. Kosmos Energy Ltd. has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to move out of Bermuda and reincorporate in the U.S. State of Delaware.
 

Hundreds of Texas Oil and Gas Workers to Lose Jobs in New Year. A few hundred oil and gas workers will find themselves without jobs near the start of the New Year. In recent months, Pioneer Natural Resources, Covia, Petrobras and Siemens have all announced staff reductions at Texas facilities.
 
Woodside signs agreement with RWE for mid-term LNG supply. Woodside Petroleum’s trading arm, Woodside Energy Trading Singapore Pte Ltd., has signed a fully termed and binding sales agreement with RWE Supply & Trading GmbH of Germany for the mid-term supply of LNG to begin during fourth quarter 2020 and run until December 2022.
 

China forays into LNG shipping segment. China plans to gather more resources to compete with South Korea in the field of building liquefied natural gas or LNG carriers, industry insiders said. The country has already overtaken many of its global rivals in two sectors: offshore engineering products and mega container vessel shipbuilding, they said.
