CIIE posts $57.8 billion in deals .The six-day China International Import Expo ended in Shanghai on Saturday, with the value of intended deals topping over $57.8 billion, according to the CIIE Bureau.



E-commerce companies forecast robust demand for range of imported products. With the China International Import Expo expected to stimulate demand for imports, from machinery and pharmaceuticals to everyday products, cross-border e-commerce companies are preparing to reap the benefits.




CNPC signs contracts with global suppliers. China National Petroleum Corp, the nation's largest oil and gas producer by domestic annual output, signed contracts with 23 global suppliers during the China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Wednesday. Total contracted value exceeded $29.2 billion, with global players including Saudi Arabian Oil Company, Kuwait National Petroleum Company, GS Caltex and Qatar Gas.



CNOOC inks deal with foreign suppliers at CIIE. China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) has signed an import agreement contract with suppliers from abroad, including Siemens and ABB, during the ongoing China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Wednesday.
 
The contract will significantly push forward the high quality development of the country's offshore oil industry and cooperation with overseas peers, said Yang Hua, chairman of the company.



Private businesses find reassurance in pledges. Reassured by pledges of enhanced support by central government authorities, private Chinese companies displayed their increasing capabilities at the ongoing China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
 
The expo "facilitates global channels for us in direct purchases", said Yu Ruifen, founder and CEO of the private retailer Shanghai Laiyifen Co. "Thus we can provide Chinese consumers with more authentic cuisine from around the world."

China to strengthen product certification process. China will intensify international cooperation to promote mutual recognition of standards to reduce repetition in testing and certification of products and services to facilitate international trade, a top market regulatory official said on Wednesday.
